The CQ is a fantastic mixer for beginners/volunteers. The one function that does sometimes trip up our volunteers is EQ. While there is the EasyEQ option or the ‘one knob / quick channel’ option, unfortunately we need more complex EQ adjustments in our venue so need to use PEQ which isn’t always that obvious to beginners and we also need the option to quickly change EQ when for example we have different people speaking at the front.
What would be fantastic would be an EQ option that is something like a custom ‘one knob / quick channel’ (see photo attached) where you could set up to 5 custom EQ curves and use the rotary to adjust as required. This would allow us to set up custom PEQ presets that can be easily used by volunteers and adjusted easily in a live setting when, in our case, the person speaking at the front changes.
I know there is the option to set up presets in the Library, but this would be more intuitive and easier to control on the fly while also giving some more fine-tuning options (e.g. setting the rotary in between the presets). It would be great if this could also be an EQ option on a complete channel and not just a quick channel.
