Custom Rotary receiving channel options lacking

A strange one that I can’t see the logic behind for custom rotaries.

You can select the sending channel as a stereo source, let’s use walk-in music on 63/64 as an example.

However you only have the option to send it to either left or right main not both.

I can’t see the reasoning behind not giving an L&R option when sending a stereo source.

This applies to any input that you’d almost always want to be sent to L&R and therefor limits the point of the custom rotaries.

I was confused by this suggestion, because when you have any stereo input and put its send level on a custom rotary, the receive channel is always LR.

So I dug a bit deeper and found that the condition mentioned is true if you have the main fader split to L / R:

I’m guessing this is an oversight of a somewhat edge case?

As a workaround (and as a general good practice), I’d suggest keeping the main channel strips as L&R and, if you need to make different processing adjustments for your left and right channels, use a matrix for that instead. This also allows decoupling mix processing from PA processing.
