As a DJ, producer, studio artist, and live electronic act here are a few things I thought of!
A driver update, which would allow the Qu32 to simply convert all 32 Trs inputs to Stereo “so we don’t have to bridge 2 channels to make one stereo channel” or choose between ( True stereo, Mono, or Stereo /Mono combo)
Imagine if you will 16 synths a few drum machines and an AKAI. " and that is just the Psychical Gear not including The Daw
Updateable and editable Fx packs Via 3rd part for pc or Mac. plus Libary for all Effects.
Not to rain on your parade, but I think there are several reasons why your request would be impossible to implement.
First, the TSR inputs on the console are balanced inputs - just like a XLR input. A stereo TSR source is an unbalanced source. Therefore it’s probably not as simple as making a software change to allow for stereo inputs on those TSR inputs. It might even require those inputs be physically rewired.
Second, the processing power is limited in these consoles. Again, it’s not as simple as just making a software change when that change is something that would effectively DOUBLE the required processing power of the system. There likely isn’t enough processing “headroom” to allow for that change without swapping out the processor.
If you are looking for third party plugin support, you can utilize those currently through external inserts and a computer. I can’t imagine A&H suddenly creating a system where external plugins are hosted on the actual A&H console. Other manufactures have tried that in the past and it hasn’t worked out well for them. In the end, they have all switched back to using external devices to host the plugins. Even if A&H did suddenly create this, it would be available on their flagship console (currently the DLive) and not on their “second from the bottom” console option.
Honestly it sounds like the QU is the wrong console for what you are looking for. While it might have fit your budget, it certainly isn’t going to fit your “goals”. You may need to move up to the Avantis or DLive in order to get all the features you are looking for (including optional I/O cards that will provide the ability to add external plugin hosts at a much lower latency that what the QU is going to provide).
