Dante Enabled Speakers & SQ7 Clocking

Hello all, we’ve got some Dante enabled speakers for mains as well as some restroom speakers also Dante enabled (different brands) and every so often they lose audio. Not connection, just audio acts muted and the only way to get it back is to power cycle the speakers. Usually by unplugging the ethernet cable.

Currently our SQ-7 is set up to be the master clock, set to internal or external (cant remember which is correct just that it is). The SQ-7 is the only thing that is shut off every use. The speakers & switches stay on 24/7

my question is this and ai seems to suggest, making something else the master clock that is 24/7 like our ME-U Hub in the back. And also making the sq-7 multicast? Is this wise and will work better?

First thing in my mind is:
What Switch(es) are you using.

The audio issue could very well be a misconfigured switch regarding EEE and/or ICMP together with QoS setup.
