Dante V3 Card Screws Not Screwing

Hello. My organisation’s brand new Avantis has this weird misalignment issue where the Dante V3 card (purchased with the mixer - it came delayed in December 2024 because of supply shortages) apparently has a different thread size and spacing for the screws, despite them having the same diameter as the ones that held the cover plate in place.

No matter how hard I push & twist them, they simply won’t let themselves in. The card fits perfectly in the slot though, yet it cannot be secured to the console’s housing (via the screws) and it’s annoying + a potential physical safety risk.

For the record, I am using I/O port 1. The screws seem to be the same as the 2nd port.

What’s going on, is this a QC issue or what? I can provide the serial or hardware versions of both units in a private message. Looking forward to your assistance, thank you!

Had a similar issue with the same hardware at about the same time. I could get one screw’s thread to mate and the other was a challenge. Seems like a manufacturing tolerance issue with the metalwork to me.

Did you get it sorted out or any answer from A&H? Did you try the other I/O port (not that you’d have to expect much difference)? I initially thought this is to deter users from using port 1 for Dante due to some obscure or unsignaled instabilities, but this sounds really absurd.

I assume they won’t replace the whole board/card based on that, LOL, but still… it’s a bummer. They should at least acknowledge this/be informed… maybe send some new screws. Thank you for answering!

Sorry to hear you’ve experienced this issue.
