Does Dante card allow to connect Yamaha RIO Stage Box to SQ5?
Can SQ5 control mic pre gain in such scenario?
Is it possible to have “gain sharing” between an SQ5 and a QL/CL Yamaha desk?

there is no Dante card for the SQ at this moment…
you can connect the SQ via Dante to RIO stagebox. But you can’t control of the gain. You have to buy a yamaha console 
or use the R-Remote for Mac/PC.
gain sharing with yamaha desks is not possible. This feature is only available @ dlive series and only for dlive consoles.
I wish there was a cross platform protocol for Dante stage boxes so all Dante equipped consoles would benefit from gain sharing. Something to think about for manufacturers, isn’t it?

only Yamaha is using Dante as native Audio link in a console (at this time)
some use MADI, some others AES50 but most of the manufacturers use their own protocol
