Does the QU5,6,7 have DCA Spill function?
Since the structure of these consoles has become very similar to the SQ series, but unlike those, no DCA spill is shown in the manual and the app (Soft Key), I would assume that it doesn’t currently have one (yet).
You can press the PAFL button on the DCA strip.
Now all members of this DCA will flash their PAFL led.
Not exactly what you are looking for, but it can help.
Just press DCA select button and the screen instantly shows all inputs assigned.
DCA Spill is, unfortunately (or thankfully), something completely different (see also Google).
When this function is used, all channels contained in a DCA group are immediately made available to the user as faders.
This means you can, for example, instantly access and adjust faders of a drum mix, even if none of these faders are currently in your fader bank.
I think, that’s just one small piece in the puzzle (in the heads of the marketing people of A&H) to place the Qu567 series as lower price and entry level. Same for a 8-channel view of the SQ series - would be possible also in the Qu567, but you have to keep the lines serarated, to explain the higher price of the SQ…
In my eyes a bit ‘childrens play’, not nessecairy because the SQ has obviously more processing power and better ‘networking possibilities’ (64x64 Dante interface through the slot).
So, my workaround: “Mixing Station” on a tablet, this offers DCA Spill. Also on Win and Mac.
