For dry hire purposes I would like to lock/unlock the deep pack. Some costumers rent our consoles for easy 4 wedge monitor jobs for example. They don’t need plugins so I want to give them a choice to rent the console without deep pack and have them save a little. For people who demand it, i unlock it and the pay a little extra for the use of the plugins.
I would like that for the Avantis 
AH should offer dongle style licensing for rental and touring use. Thats the answer to this
A dongle/stick is something you can forget/misplace. A on/off switch with a simple passsword (4-digit number?) makes sure that you can help a client over the phone if they forgot or if they change their mind about using deep-pack during preparations or sound checks.
Well, for a rental purposes this is an idea.
But I guess the A&H won’t “waste” time to refactor this feature/component. Since the board is released, I believe they switched to “maintenance” mode.
But besides the plugins should be cheaper or got discount code until RackUltraFX possibly will be included with Avantis.
Marketing phrase “dlive processing” is no longer fully valid when RackUltraFX have vocal processing, new reverbs etc.
Those who already purchased it should receive discount for a needed hardware upgrade.
