Im having issues with a channel on the SQ-7. I have channel 1 & 2 grouped together. But starting about a month ago, channel 1 does not receive signal. I have not changed anything about either channel. Both channels are assigned to an IO port. I noticed channel 1 has a blue knob on the preamp screen, while channel 2 has a red knob. I do not know what the different colors mean and am having a difficult time finding info about it. Channel 1 is the only channel that has a blue knob.
If the gain knob is blue that channels is assigned to external input source not the local jack on the mixer, maybe a USB input.
I would describe it more like this:
If the knob in the preamp display has a red border, the physical Preamp Gain control actually represents the Gain control; if it’s blue, however, it represents a Trim control.
And only because, for example, a USB channel has no Gain control, but only a Trim control, does the knob there always have a blue border.
Unfortunately, A&H didn’t consider that the color of the physical Gain control should logically also change to blue if it represents a Trim control.
And that should be corrected.
