Because of the new voting function of the forum, here is a topic to vote for a digital insert point, usesull to add VST FX with computer.
I had in the past already created a topic about that but had received no feedback from A&H official on the feasibility or not.
Maybe I’ll get an answer now.

Interesting but not sure I fully understand the thinking here.
I can receive audio from any output signal on the CQ send it to a Bus on my computer DAW with a VST plugin on and send its output back to a CQ In. (Leaving aside potential round trip latency challenges) is that what you are thinking?

An insert point is generally set by channel.
It take signal just after DAC and send it back just before channel processing.
For latency, some VST are very fast.
I have in mind Wave X-FDBK.
Still not sure why you need that in the mixer itself if it can’t host vst FX.
Surely the multichannel USB out is giving you 24 channels of digital (all the analog ports converted to digital (the DAC stage) all those ports are available in your DAW as channels and you can put whatever VST you like on them and route back to the mixer where the converters will put out as analog.

musicnorfolk, I want to “route back” to the same channel.
USB specs do not allow you to receive and send on a channel simultaneously, not sure any digital audio streams are ever send/receive at same time. It’s always switched transmit/receive. But you can receive from and send to the same channel via your DAW as that action is not simultaneous. ie Route back.
I can take the multi stream channel data off the SD card and load into my DAW, process in the DAW then send back to the same channels on the CQ re-recording to a new multistream recording if I want. Just need to configure the output busses I want to use in the DAW. It all remains digital.
