Display "show" and current "scene" at all times

When mixing/directing/producing a combined performance of several song writing circles I need to know at a glance the current state of the mixer. There is sufficient screen space for this to be accomplished without sacrificing any of the current display configurations. As an additional bonus would be to include a graphic marker appended to the end of the string. For instance an “e” to suggest a “save” might be appropriate…tia…/s~

Just for clarity…. what you want to display is the “last recalled scene” and “last recalled show”. There is no “current scene” because as soon as you load a scene and make one change (ie for example you move even just one fader 1db down), the current console setup no longer the matches the scene that you loaded.

Therefore it would be a complete misrepresentation to display something called the “current scene”.

Cool. Let’s use your wording then, since it makes more sense. The urgency on my part remains the same…Cheers!…/s~

Yes, last recalled scene. That way I can keep track of which scene I’m modifying. I only mix two bands but already have close to 30 scenes saved. It gets hard to keep track of what scene I’m working with when I make changes and want to permanently modify that scene.

So however it’s called, at least for me it would be a big help to know which scene I started with.

In another related thread on the forum someone suggested renaming the main faders to some scene reference. E.g.- The mains can be labeled Scn1 for Scene 1 (Or GtrSol, or anything else meaningful), and so on for all the scenes. If you can see the main faders on the screen, you can know what the last scene recalled was. Only 6 characters can be used for the name if I recall correctly, so it’s limited, but I have been using this and it has been a great workaround for me. Hopefully only until A&H implement the “Last Scene Recalled” info on the screen.

Well played, Sir! @jwachtel …well played…Cheers!…/s~

I’ve seen on another mixer, maybe Yamaha, maybe X-32, I can’t remember… The name of the recalled Scene would be displayed, and as soon as something was changed, a yellow E would appear beside the Scene name (E indicating “Edited”). So you’d know you have to Save or Overwritte the Scene if you want to keep the changes.
