I’m a new dLive user, but I have quite a bit of experience with SQ, Avantis, and AHM. I’ve also spent a fair amount of time working in Custom Control Editor.
I’ve run into a snag with dLive, I can’t figure out how to use the Selector. On AHM, the widget gives a “Selector Type” option, but on dLive it only shows a box labeled “Source Selector” with a numeric value. I don’t see what that number is referring to on either dLive or Avantis.
I am hoping to use it as both a source selector and also I would like to create a selector for my end users to be able to select from a predetermined set of actions.
The Source Selector in CC controls one of 20 assignable Source Selectors in dLive (configured under MixRack/Audio/Source Selector) or Avantis. These have a similar function to the AHM Source Selector, but must be manually assigned to a Mix (AHM has selectors on every Zone). Typically used to select between different music playback sources, with optional level and fade in / fade out times. More information is available in the Firmware Reference Guide for dLive or Avantis. In Custom Control, you only need to specify the selector number (from 1 to 20).
