Anyone regularly use A&H dLive 2.12 without a hardware control surface only a windows touchscreen laptop and Director? I’m having issues with the dLive I purchased. I’ve been sending in PC and dLive logs and it seems A&H are throwing up their hands up in defeat.
From A&H UK:
“As we haven’t seen this behaviour reported from other users, the software team feel there isn’t much they can do in this case. If we see more reports of this, the software team will investigate further”.
I’ve tried two different PC’s (one is a brand new HP Omnibook X) with new Windows 11 updates and it still freezes up after selecting FX. Happens using a hard wired connection direct to the CDM32 as well as with a router.
What I see is, that the FX tab always needs a few seconds until it loads (same on the surface) at the very first time after booting. Haven’t seen a freeze so far though.
What happens, if you load the FX tab in offline mode, without a connection to the mixer?
Outside of the FX tab and I/O tab taking longer than normal to load the very first time they are clicked on after starting the software, I have not experienced any problems with the Director software.
That being said, you need to make sure your computer does not automatically suspend or power down the network connection after a period of time. A dropped network connection could explain why the software “freezes” sometimes (because it has to wait to reconnect to the system). I have no idea if that is what you are experiencing or not, but I would suggest that you revisit the computer’s “power settings” and make sure they are not causing your issues.
