dLive to AHM through dante

I’m having an issue sending channels from dLive (through dante port) to AHM16 (through its dante). Currently dLive sends to my mac for broadcast audio via Logic Pro with no issue. But when I try to patch a channel from dLive to AHM through dante controller directly, I get the red circle and it shows transmission issue. What settings should I be looking at? Reminder dante already sends to logic (via VSC) and has no issues. Also patching from logic to AHM works too. So I’m guessing its a dLive setting I’m missing? Thanks!

Are the two Dante cards set to the same sample rate in Dante Controller?

Yes. Both at 48. All settings are 1 to 1. Except I have dlive set as master clock for all devices to follow.

Have you triple checked to ensure the two A&H Dante cards on the same network subnet and assigned appropriate IP address (or using DHCP if there is a DHCP server on that network segment)?

EDIT - long story short, the fact that the devices show up in Dante Controller at all indicates that they are working properly. The fact that the connection is “red” indicated there is a problem in the network and the devices are not communicating with each other correctly.

There are a lot of reasons why this might be occurring unfortunately. I suggest that you revisit the Dante Level 1 and Dante Level 2 courses on the Audinate website. Hopefully going through that training will help you understand where the problem lies.

Is what you’re trying to patch to the AHM16 one of the same channels you’re sending to your Mac?

If so, you need to enable multicast for some of the flows in Dante Controller.

It is important to verify that both A&H Dante cards are both on the same network subnet with the correct IP address. If using DHCP, make sure that the DHCP server is correctly configured and the address is to be assigned properly.

Yes! For some reason I had the flows not working. Fix was to unsubscribe and delete the flow, then create flow, and resubscribe.
