Douple patching of stereo-channels

Hi everybody,

I know, that I can double-patch mono-channels (one mono-signals to two or more input-channels).

When I try doing the same with a stereo-channel, the patching won’t work. It can be patched as stereo to one input-channel, only.

Is there a way to do so or is it simply not possible.

What I am trying to do is to have a stereo signal coming from a computer (tracks with click-tracks (on left-channel)) going into the monitor-mix for our musicians including the click-tracks, but without the click-tracks into our room (LR-Mix).

Many thanks in advance,

Doron

How are you making the patch?
Attached is an SQ-MixPad screenshot showing the same USB channels (1&2) patched to 2x Stereo SQ Input channels (Ip41/42 and Ip43/44).
I could then use the stereo control on these channels to change width or flip sides, but a more useful setup might be to send the click and tracks to two mono input channels on the SQ. Then it’s easy to send the click only to monitors and not FOH and possible to process tracks and click separately too (e.g. EQ/compression).

(Just off the top of the screen in fact, USB channel 1 is also patched to Ip38)

Cheers,
Keith.

Hi Keith,

that is exactly what I try to do - but our console would not let me.
When I try to patch two channels that are combined to STEREO to a second SQ input channel, the patch-pad will not patch the stereo-channels, but either one of them only.

Our Difference to what you show is, that I tried that not with USB, but with local-channels.

The two pics show my problem.
Chanell 9+10 configured to be Stereo.
Then patched to lp9/10 with L&R.

And while typing, I found out that I need to Stereo-config the other destination lp’s and then it works.

Many thanks
