Howdy. Yesterday I updated my driver software to the latest.This caused nothing but problems. Dropped back to the previous version and all was OK.
What’s up with that? Window 10 OS. I was going to update my QU16 firmware, but now I’m thinking, not such a great idea.
win10 has MANY problems.
you should ask billyg why windoze is a POS social media system now,
and why it forks users over, with so many unwanted ASSumptions about what is ‘helpful’, but actually screws us over instead.
Clean out the dunmb default settings that are a big problem and that would be a big help.
But sounds like you may have driver problems not the usual default problems.
your firmware should be 1.9x on Qu.
but if your usb is working fine I would not upgrade.
Hey, MY USB works, mostly, so I’m going to leave it as is until someone tells me I should due to some features or stability.

no problem on Windows 10 and 1.95 so far here…
but it’s about six months ago that I used my QU with my Laptop
most of the time we don’t use the Laptop for USB playback and recording (it controls the lights)
or I use it analog
many people have problems with usb on the Qu
with that factoid in mind I would never change anything
we got our Qu with 1.9x and have great difficulty finding a working usb flash drive
we found a really old one that was a white box no name flash drive from staples which was 8G usb2.0 and it worked
we have tried MANY newer ones with zero success
including some that certain people claim always work on their box so it is our incompetence if it fails on our Qu
if it aint broke then dont fix it
