I usually use my CQ18T with my full bands, but I am going to be doing self-contained solo acoustic gigs with it soon. I will be live looping various instruments. In the past, I have set up a separate mixer for the instruments that will be looped, then from the mixer into the loop pedal, then to FOH. Seems like I should be able to do this all with the CQ, without the extra mixer.
What seems to work is plugging all the instruments and mics into the CQ, routing the ones I want to loop to one of the monitor outputs, monitor output to the looper input, looper output to one of the inputs the CQ, then to the mains. Just wanted to make sure there was not a better way to accomplish being able to loop several instruments.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Exactly the way I use my CQ18T, as my ‘nightstand’ mixer for solo performances. Up untill now, I’ve routed all mij instruments to outputs 1+2 except for my looper return channel. I also use a multi effects processor on outs 3+4 and, depending on the setup, feed that to either the loop or FOH. Outs 5/6 are then left for monitoring, in addition to the headphone outs that I mainly use for line checks.
Curious to know if you find other ways.

Never thought of using a multi effect the same way. Great idea, thanks.
