Effects

are 5here going too be new effects released for the SQ line

Hi Gumby,

There will be DEEP units for channel processing (compressors and GEQ’s) coming soon, and yes, there will be new effects in the future too.

Thanks,
Keith.

@keithjah

Is there a timepath? v1.3 and deep units.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,

V1.3 is planned for release in September, with the first DEEP units available shortly afterward.
As is always the case (and we always have to make clear!), this is subject to testing.

Cheers!
Keith.

keith, will shows created in 1.2.2 still work on 1.3?

Hi Gab,

Yes, there was only one firmware update where shows became incompatible because of major changes ‘under the hood’, from firmware V1.1 older shows will load onto newer firmware without issue.

Cheers,
Keith.

Hi Keith,

am i right in thinking that the deep processing can only be inserted on input channels?

it would be great to be able to use the new comps and the GEQs on the L R master output too.

many thanks in advance

Dave

the deep processing compressors are replacements for the channel compressor and these will work in the mixes and masters as well

Hi Keith,

V1.3 is planned for release in September, with the first DEEP units available shortly afterward.

So, that means that we can expect the V1.3 in September (I read ‘not before end of September’ ) which will be enabled to run DEEP processing units but without additional effects like the one which ar part of the GLD/dLive FX Lib but not available in the SQ. Is that true? Will that missing FX stuff be released as plugins like the tube preamp? Can you provide any more information what features are planned to be released with V1.3?
Thanks in advance
Klaus

Hi Klaus,

Unfortunately I cannot provide more information at this time, mainly as everything is subject to test.
We never want to say “it will have XYZ” and then features get pushed back to a later release, as that’s the quickest way to annoy a lot of people at once!
I appreciate it’s frustrating, but we do release information on anything upcoming as soon as we can.

Cheers,
Keith.
