Encoder assign? / Dir Out in Editor?

Does anyone know how to un-assign an encoder on a surface with out switching shows? When I load a MON show from a FOH show, the encoder will have an unassign option which is removed if you select it. Be nice to be able to re-“un” assign it.

Also, does anyone know hoe to get the direct out level on the Editor channels. Not the gain or trim, but the Direct Out Level. I can only find it for each channel in the super strip.

Doug, I know the setting for this are in there, but the unassign option is removed after you select something different. I was looking for a way to get it back after.
