Come ho fatto notare qualche tempo fa, non mi spiego il perchè le matrici non hanno l’equalizzazione indipendente dal main e non posso assegnare su di loro singolarmente i canali di ingresso come se fossero degli aux.
In mancanza dei un terzo main (anche il behringer x32 lo ha), mi piacerebbe avere le matrici assegnabili, potendole usare appunto per creare più controlli di bus indipendenti, ad esempio controllare un front fill assegnando solo alcuni canali ed avere EQ indipendente che non influisca con il main principale.

The matrixes already have GEQ and PEQ and Comp available at the output, independent of the main EQ. I would like to be able to assign individual channels directly to the matrixes. You can always use an aux buss to create a front-fill mix, if you have one available.
It seems that A&H has decided that the ability to assign a channel directly to a matrix is something to be reserved for their “higher end” console models like the Avantis and DLive. Clearly A&H has the ability to add this functionality to the SQ, but it is obviously a larger corporate “master plan” that has prevented them from doing so previously. Given how old the SQ is (and therefore how long A&H has had to change their mind), I doubt this feature will ever be added to the SQ (or lower) models.
agreed… the SQ is an older model but do you think A&H should consider this for the SQ+?
I think it would be an incentive to “trade up” to the new model if it really is capable of more power “under the hood” than the original and could accommodate this routing request…

Honestly I think that if A&H was planning on including this feature for the SQ+, I think they would have included it from the beginning. Of course that is just my opinion, but I think it has merit too. I guess only time will tell…
Non mi sbaglio: lo schema a blocchi mostra che il segnale inviato alla matrice proviene da un punto successivo alla sezione Mix Master. Il flusso non funziona al contrario: non c’è modo di modificare il segnale diretto alle uscite principali LR, ai gruppi o agli aux agendo sulle impostazioni delle uscite della matrice. Ho fatto diverse prove con il mio SQ6 e l’elaborazione dei singoli segnali in uscita non è cambiata quando ho modificato i parametri della matrice. A proposito, ho trovato una soluzione alternativa per inviare un singolo ingresso a una specifica uscita della matrice: assegno un ingresso locale a un’uscita diretta (Direct Out) e instrado quest’ultima verso un ingresso esterno della matrice. È assurdo dover usare un cavo microfonico per collegare un’uscita locale a un ingresso locale, invece di poter effettuare il routing internamente; a mio avviso, la doppia conversione AD/DA è un passaggio superfluo…

I’m not mistaken; the schematic diagram shows the feed to the matrix is post the Mix Master section. It doesn’t work the other way, there is no way to change the signal to the main LR, group or aux output when you make adjustments to the matrix outputs. I just tested this backward and forward with my SQ6 and the processing of the individual signal outputs did not change when I made adjustments to the matrix processing. BTW; I did find a work around for my need to supply a single matrix feed with a single input to a matrix output. I assign a local input to a direct out and route this output to a matrix ext. input. Stupid that I have to use a mic cable to link a local output to a local input instead of being able to map it internally. DA to AD is an unnecessary step IMHO…

I understand not wanting to develop SQ further in order to prioritize SQ+, but they could at least include this feature.
That is not how the schematic diagram shows how the system works. So either there is something being lost in the translation, there is a routing issue in your specific setup, or there is a bug in the firmware that is preventing the console from operating as designed.
Obviously if you have the Main L/R buss passing through a Matrix, and you change the EQ on the matrix, it is going to affect the overall tone of the audio being routed through the Matrix buss - including the Main L/R audio and any other busses being routed through the Matrix. I don’t know if this is what you mean, or if when you say the “Main Output” is affected when you adjust the EQ on a Matrix, you mean that the actual EQ processing on the Main L/R buss changes to match the actual EQ processing that you are changing on the Matrix Output.
The first example is expected behavior. The second example would NOT be expected behavior.
That could well be possible, given that the thread is starting to get confusing.
