FAILED CQ20 UPDATE

We need support in the USA. I just went to update the cq20 I can’t even find it in my iPad app. Please help I’ve already tried everything! I even went and bought 2 new mixers today the CQ20B and an 18 and the app is not responding, I’ve reinstalled it too! IDK what to do!!!

You say you tried everything but have not enumerated what that is. Coincidentally, today I updated my CQ-20B, CQ-18T, and 2 iPads successfully (and I’m in the US as well.) I updated MixPad on both iPads via the App Store then connected to each mixer, which automatically detects the version mismatch and steps you through the update process.

If you are attempting to update the consoles using a USB stick/drive and it’s not working, my first suggestion would be to try some other USB sticks/drives. These systems tend to be very particular about the USB drive for some reason. Many work just fine, but many do not for some unexplained reason. Frustratingly, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason why some work and some don’t.

As far as your iPad not “finding” the console, it is likely due to the iPad having a more recent version of the app installed that doesn’t match the older console firmware version. If you update the firmware on the console, I’m confident that your iPad apps would recognize the updated console.

My iPad it’s not showing the mixer under other, it only finds it on the WiFi. This explains how the issue prompted is by the app not by my iPad. There was a failed update then I exited app after that message to retry this started the issue that wouldn’t allow me to update via router then I tried via WiFi said it was failed and it stopped working all together, if you’re down to help me via phone call id appreciate it. I need this for gigs I even went and bought two extra mixers a 20 and an 18 and I can’t work the app. Also I’ve had the other mixer for almost 2 years and it worked well.

Make sure the MixPad version for iPad is v1.2.3……which was just published..1.2.2 does not have permission control and won’t load on OS18 or higher….

Hard to help you without more information…version numbers of app, version numbers of operating system….etc…
