Hi,
I have an mono helix Di guitar on input 11. I have my 11/12 Stéréo input on my avantis.
Can i creat a fake stéréo guitare if i patch source my guitar stéréo input to 11 and creat a delay from 14ms on left or right side.
Option 2 : 2 mono input patch from input 11 and using ganging and add a delay from 14ms to a side ?
Thanks
Adrien
This isn’t really an Avantis question, more of a sound reinforcement question. The reason a Haas effect creates a “fake stereo” effect, as you call it, is because of the phase interactions between the two channels when panned left and right. As to the question should one willfully insert phase anomalies into an FOH rig…that’s a more philosophical question, right along with the stereo/mono question. Ultimately, YMMV. However, yes, the Avantis is capable of doing it - at least for option B (ganging 2 mono channels, one with a delay). Not sure if a stereo pair allows different delay settings. You can, of course, change the stereo/mono configuration on the setup page.
