Feature/product/cooperation request: slink cmodule (for product integration)

Hi

Slink is very nice but the interfacing capabilities are limited - primarily analogue out, some AES3, insert cards for other protocols (which isnt always a working solution).

To interface with other systems itd be nice to make use of spare capabilities of slink to send/receive channels in complex, custom install setups.

Appsys has specialized solutions to convert a wide range of sigital protocols. As a proprietary protocol suite slink is not included - but exactly that is key of this request.

I imagine it to be doable to create an slink module for other manufacturers. Maybe with a similar form factor as dante/ravenna modules to allow for quicker kntegration.

Ex. The flexiverter product line of appsys seems like a very plausible platform also.

So why not ask Appsys for collaboration on this?

TBH, the device still lacks functionality announced for 2024. He is way behind the pace.
I can’t see more room for another protocol.

Then I guess in this cooperation the likely several engineers of A&H could implement a hardware module of their proprietary technology that would go with the - so I’d assume - more standard interfaces of the appsys universe.

They have the knowlwdge, equipment etc already required for this.

Naturally that would imply either economical interest or a small enough cost.

If thats the goal, then theres ways to approach this.
