Firmware is 1.6.3 on SQ5. What version of mix pad should I use?

I thought the version of mix pad for example, 1.6.1 currently available for download here on the website must match the version of the firmware. I was told that a mixing console I’m going to use is at 1.6.3 already. Will the mix pad 1.6.1 download work with that version of the firmware? Many thanks.

Yes, since both are firmware 1.6.
A&H puts it this way:

Each instance of SQ-MixPad and the SQ firmware must share the same feature release number.
i.e.
SQ firmware V1.5.4 and SQ MixPad V1.5.1 = compatible.
SQ firmware V1.3.2 and SQ MixPad V1.5.2 = not compatible.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I guess “everone” knows what a release number is, and why 1.6.1 and 1.6.3 are “not” release numbers!

Okay - perhaps they phrase it better elsewhere:

If using SQ-MixPad, SQ4You or SQ-Control apps, ensure that the first two numbers of the firmware and app versions match

The third digit is a maintenance release.
