What are you using for your 15000CTi? I have seen some Peli (I guess) variants online, but cannot identify the model. I woud appreciate if you’d share your solution.
TIA!

I don’t like the lack of side protection in those cases… I have my C1500 in a circle three designs case, and over the last 5 years, it’s been under planes, in trailers, in the back of a pickup, and it’s been rock solid.
I personally do not like the amount of unused space in a Peli solution or for that matter the physical bulk. I have chosen the Scott Dixon custom cases every time and although I thought that the odd shape would be a problem, it actully provides a solution in most situations.
It also packs on an airport trolley really well with my luggage, mic case and ip8 case.
Thanks for the pics. I’m afraid of using custom made FC in USA - so far Delta Airlines managed to break everything, but the Pelicans. That is why I was looking at this solution.
I feel you. My console has quite a few dents in the case from being mistreated and it is all OK. It is a welded aluminium case with high desity foam hugging the console. The CDM rack is also in a Scott Dixon case which is a welded aluminium floataion rack case.
22kg for the console in the case with a DANTE card inserted. The Floatation rack case is 21kg with a GIGACE card installed.
Both have been on countless flights over the last couple of years. We have been doing approx. 65 shows a year. So that would be at least 40+ flights per year…and the dents to prove it.
Some of those Peli designs are based on the 1637 AIR. I’ve seen airlines break parts of Peli/SKB cases (latches, wheels, cracked corners, etc.) so nothing is idiot-proof. I also use the Circle Three ATA-style case and it’s fantastic. I trust it much more than a Peli AIR which has some flex to the shell, and minimal side protection (if any) as noted above. Plus with Circle Three you just pop the lid, use it as a small table, and the console stays in the bottom of the case. Don’t have to lift it out and put it on something else. Mine is under 50 lbs with the IEC, Waves card, and small ethernet jumper inside.
