Front Panel not working correctly

The soft controls on our new AHM-32 can be assigned and function properly as assigned but only do the operation once, as soon as one presses any soft key all soft keys reset to no function. I wish to get soft key settings to be persistant and repeatable.

e.g. soft key#1 assigned to (for example) preset#1 recall. soft key#2 assigned to preset#2 recall etc. - If I then press soft key#1 preset#1 gets recalled but all pre-assigned soft keys switch to no function with no assigned functions anymore.

If I start all over and press soft key#2 preset#2 gets recalled and then all pre-assigned soft keys go blank. or soft key#3 etc. it doesn’t matter - softkey assignments are not persistant and cause all pre-assigned soft key settings to vanish if used.

I have been through this process over and over again and both laptop and unit are on same software version.

Also when preset select is chosen instead of preset recall the arrow keys work to select but pressing the select button recalls preset but also makes all pre-programmed soft keys go blank as well.

I want to make some show presets that are accessible and semi-permanent from front panel i.e. 3-way, sub on aux, DJ, recorded music only, talking head, etc. and have settings be persistant and not vanish as soon as one presses any soft key.

As unit is, I can - but only once, then all soft key assignments disappear and have to be programmed again and therefore I only get one shot at recalling a single preset. I need to be able to have all softkey assigned presets recallable for shows and days I am not here, so a junior tech can just press a button to get the preset they need.

I have searched manual and online and have not seen anyone mention this yet. I have tried all manner of saving files, closing and restarting etc. however nothing seems to work, everything else appears to work fine in testing so far.
Why can one not save softkey assignments and have them be recallable more than once?

We are in testing phase before replacing our older Xilica and this slows down our integration it won’t be put into service unit all bugs are worked out. Is this just a faulty unit?

This is a “recall scope” issue.

Save the front panel control assignments in your start-up preset.

Clear the “Front Panel Controls” check-box in the recall scope for all of your other presets. Note that you don’t have to load/save each preset when you change the recall scope.

Solved!!! I think…10 minutes away from a couple of days off. lol.

In the recall scope if one puts ‘all’ it includes ‘front panel’ which causes every preset to wipe the front panel assignments when recalling a preset or so it appears.

This should have been covered in the manual or pages somewhere, maybe I missed it but I did look around.
A couple of reboots and trying different users and it is still working. A bit of a time waster to figure it out but I believe 'Solved"

Deactivate ‘front panel’ in the recall scope if this happens to you.

Will check it out more next week.

Just saw the reponse - Thanks !!!
