Help!
Hello! I’m from Ukraine. I recently purchased a QU-7D. I select FX (5-6) and insert it into the channel via insert. But after rebooting the console it disappears. The FX5 and FX6 tabs are empty. The same thing happens with the Tube Stage Preamp. Maybe I didn’t understand the settings.
By default the console is designed to boot into its “last known condition” (ie how the console was set when it was powered down). However the QU console can be set to load a specific scene when booted. If your console is set up to do this and you are not saving the changes you are making to the scene that is being loaded on boot, then it would be completely normal for the console to boot into a different condition/setup than what was present when it was turned off.
In fact, “last known condition” does not want to save these changes that I specified( . But even if I overwrite a new scene and set it as the default, the problem is the same.
There are “stock” FX models/plugins that come with the console. There are also “Premium” FX plugins that can be purchased separately. These premium plugins can be viewed/inserted in the console (as a marketing ploy to ensure people know they exist and can be purchased), but they don’t actually work unless they have been properly activated in the console settings.
The Tube Stage Preamp is considered a premium plugin, even though you can get a free activation for it when you register your console with A&H. You didn’t mention what plugins you are trying to use on FX 5-6, but I’m guessing they are probably a premium plugin as well.
Logically the next question I have for you is if you “purchased” these premium plugins/FX from A&H and activated them on the console? They don’t come “activated” on a new console and I could easily see where you think you are turning them on, but don’t actually own and/or haven’t finished activating them yet in the console’s settings. In that case, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that the console “removes” them when rebooted since they are not “activated” on the console.
They were purchased on the site and activated on the console. I received Tube when registering, and I purchased a few more separately. Now I even tried to save the scene with Tube turned on, but again after rebooting it disappeared.
Then I would suggest that you reach out/contact the formal A&H support team. They should be able to get to the bottom of your issue. You do this by going to the main A&H website’s support page and clicking on “Get Support in Your Country”
