Two basic questions: Is there a list of the FX modules that are included with the Qu-7, out of the box?
In terms of subset - are any of those FX modules compressors that can be inserted - that is used as a second compressor - on input, group, or output?
The 8 available FX types included by default are listed in the User Guide on pages 89-92.
Compressors are not considered FX and all channel compressors (DEEP Channel Processing) cannot be used as insert FX.
Only the separately available add-ons Multiband Compressors MultiBD3 and 4 are “FX” and could be inserted (page 129).
Internal you could only “simulate” the insert of a second compressor by sending the channel through a group and using the compressor there.
Interesting - and sad - I hoped for better from A & H and own and have used their gear for years. The use of double compression is a common pro technique and the X32 gave me my first taste of it’s benefit in the digital domain. Having to use a group, when there are so few, to accomplish this is a sad state. No Qu in my future, as this is a critical capability for vocals and guitar.
