I’m playing around with my just delivered Qu-5.
One thing makes me crazy: When i change some of the FX parameters (not all), the FX gets muted for around a second. If you want to change something at a reverb during a concert, and the reverb will mute for a second, thats impossible! At least, the reverb time is not affacted, but you don’t know it, until you try.
So: it is absolutely nessecairy to know in advance if a parameters will mute the FX. Highlight the knobs in the UI, when it can be touched without muting the effect.
Even better, but hardly to achieve: avoid this 1-second-mute! How is this solved in other desks? Additional processing-power with crossfades between the result of the old and new value of a parameter?
Of course, there is a lot to enjoy and to love at the QU-5, but this point has to be solved.
