(Context: I recently purchased a CQ-20B and am looking forward to our first rehearsal with it. I’ve been spending a lot of time getting familiar with the device and CQ MixPad, but there are definitely a few quirks that I hope will eventually get ironed out. I’m using macOS 26 in case that matters.)
I’ve found that when editing a shared effect, the Inputs tab works as expected by the Outputs tab is frequently unresponsive. Faders for the individual output channels will highlight at unexpected times – staying highlighted even when the trackpad isn’t clicked – and often won’t respond at all to my attempts to move them. I’ll be able to adjust Out 2 and Out 4 but the rest are stubbornly fixed in place, for example. Even if I quit the app and restart it I have been unable to adjust output levels reliably.
I haven’t experienced this problem with the iPad app.
I’ve also noticed that from Control tab for an effect if you switch FX Unit Mode to Inserted but close the resulting list of inputs without selecting one, the UI shows that “Inserted” is selected but otherwise behaves as if in Shared mode (the Inputs and Outputs tabs are visible, etc.) This is more cosmetic and happens on both iPadOS and macOS, but might still be worth addressing.
