Yesterday I suspected my USB2.0 HD got corrupted, so I formatted it with my laptop (Win10) in exFAT format (Fat not being available from the menu). My Avantis didn’t recognize the disk and did or showed nothing. Not even an option to format the drive.
After that I connected the HD to my SQ6 and… it offered me the option to format it ! After I let the SQ6 format the drive, the Avantis gladly accepted it as a viable storage unit.
It seems strange to me the SQ would format and the Avantis wouldn’t. In fact, I’ve never seen a “Format” button appear in the Avantis. (It should be in the USB-audio or memory menu, right?)
I am constantly having these issues with my dLive as well.
Never had an issue with any drive on my SQ5.
Guessing it is an OS/Software thing on these desks with older firmware designs.
