Headphones jack output and trs stereo link suggestions

Hey, first time post here. CQ20B is also my first digital mixer. Prior to this, I’ve exclusively worked with Mackie and behringer medium format analog mixers (18 to 22 channels).

I don’t have many hours working with the CQ20B as of yet but it’s been a lot of fun. I’ve utilized it for one show thus far.

I appreciate having a the two trs outputs, but I wish these outputs can be unlinked, just like any of the XLRs can be linked/unlinked.

My second recommendation is I wish the headphone jack could be used as an additional auxiliary output. Possibly, with the use of a breakout Y-cable, maybe an additional 2 outputs. This would really make this unit much more flexible and maximize the capabilities of this mixer.

I think your first point is a good one but the second point about an extra two Aux on the headphone jack is unlikely. As I understand it, this would need a further two busses. As far as I am aware, the CQs do not have the extra hardware.

@Sean

Glad you’re enjoying your new CQ-20B :slight_smile:
The A&B TRS (ALT) Output sockets are already individually patchable, so there is no linking or unlinking required.
I’m afraid being able to use the headphone output for extra monitoring would require extra routing and processing in the core, so this could be considered beyond maximising the capability of the mixer!

Thanks,
Keith.
