How to Connect between Qu-32/AR84/ME-1

I would like to connect the Qu-32 dSNAKE port to a network switch that supports PoE and use it to connect the Expander port of the AR84 and the Link In port of the ME-1. Will this setup work properly?

No, the protocol used by the QU is not designed to go trough network switches, and as the AR84 only has one “cat 5” port you can’t use that to split to an ME network.
My guess would be you need to use an AB168 instead of the AR84 - the AB168 has a second port that is designed to support the ME system.

Thank you for reply

Then, split the dSNAKE into two using an RJ45 splitter and connect it to the ME-1 using a PoE injector, would it still not work?

You can’t use a splitter with dSnake - it won’t work.

Here’s a knowledgebase article that covers some of the supported dSnake configurations - https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4403658738193-General-What-are-the-supported-dSnake-configurations

In short, there isn’t a valid configuration that will work with just an AR84 and ME. You’ll need to swap the AR84 for something like an AB168 or AR2412 that has the extra cascade connections for ME.
