Hi,
maybe somebody all ready did this.
But, on my last tour I used my IDR-16 as a Fx’s rack.
As the Fx’s in iLive sounds better than most Fx’s (even sold my Bricasti…),
I took only a IDR-16 on tour as Fx’s rack, as I was only using In-house Midas H3000,
analog console for this tour
Space saving too, and you can even save everything scene-for-scene.
Without a lot of midi cables and programing…
Setup:
IDR-16
8 x sends to iLive ch
2 x returns from iLive L&R
Pl-fader to control IP Fx’s and iLive editor on Mac Book
Later on I used only iPad MixPad to control IP FX’s on fader in MixPad
Tried to put up a picture of this, but couldn’t work it out…

Hi Oscar,
nice to hear…
lots of effort has gone into the fx racks.

Did you use any inserted processing? I think in theory the six outputs you didn’t use could be configured with six inputs for inserted processing like gates, compressor, EQ on a analogue board…

No,
Have been thinking about that, but as I’ve struggled in using the Waves Multirack,
without a good latency free result. My hopes are not that high on that it will work.
All though it would be really cool if one could use the ,
let’s say IDR-48 as a complete outboard rack for a analog console.
