iLive Editor -- SUB unity and key listen

Greetings,

I’m taking delivery of an iDR-32 soon. I won’t have a surface; everything will be done by PC.

While exploring the iLive Editor, I’ve come up with a few questions. Can someone here help me out?

Where is unity on the SUB rotary controls?

Is there a “key listen” feature included with the dynamics processing?

Thank you. I’m sure I’ll have more questions down the road

Hi Tim

Where is unity on the SUB rotary controls?</font id=“red”>

Unity is located just before 3 O’clock on rotary controls, i have added this to the feature request list

You can Key listen on the iLive surface by pressing the SEL key within the input process you wish to Key listen to. This function is not currently available in Editor though could be in a future release.

SIP is not currently available for Editor.

You can do a kind of Solo in Place by using a spare stereo group that is not assigned to any mix outputs. Solo the stereo group then to solo in place any channel just assign it to that group (I’ve assumed you want to solo in place to headphones from the mixrack) If you want to SIP to the main mix (muting everything else) just use a mute DCA group with every ch assigned and unassign what you wish to have solo’d in place.

I’m working on an interesting midi project which offers SIP and many other features when using just the editor S/W and an external Mackie/logic control. Will post info and maybe a video link here soon!

Thanks, Sam - very useful information.

Key-listen is pretty important to those of us running the Editor with a MixRack. Thanks for listening
