Hi there I am looking to add a couple of Audience Mics to our setup but I don’t want them to go to the FOH mix. I only want them to to to stream mix which we take from FOH and add some FX to and then sound out USB to OBS running on a PC.
Where to start, is this possible or am I going top have to rethink the way we route our FOH mix to OBS.
Thanks in antiicpation
When in the MainLR mix, just hold down Assign and deselect the audience mics… simple as that. (I do the same for talkbacks from stage to me at FOH…
the suggestion above is the easiest approach. For a more visual approach of where the input signal is routed, clicking on the routing button, then tap on the mix sends section. There, you can see every mix / matrix it is sent to, as well as whether it is pre-fader or post-fader. We do this with our audience mics as well (no FOH, just stream mix).
Thanks I shall give it a go…
We do this all the time at our Church.
We have deselected the routing of the congregation microphones to L/R [mains] (in the routing screen for the microphones) as has been discussed above.
Are you using an AUX output or a MATRIX output for your stream?
The reason I am asking is that you can’t route an input channel to a MATRIX without going through a group.
We use the L/R outputs for our main worship hall mix and the three MATRIX outputs for our overflow, recreation hall (which doubles up as an overflow) and our stream. As a result, we have a stereo pair of congregation microphones on input channels interconnected to a congregation group that we can adjust separately to our overflow, recreation hall and stream - but NEVER to our L/R!

I am pretty sure its a Matrix but I will have to check
It’s unfortunate that you can’t directly assign an input to a matrix on the SQ. It is possible to assign an input directly to a matrix on the Avantis and DLive systems and it makes it very convenient to do exactly what you are asking to do.
