Is there any way to insert EQ only on the Wedge output fader in Avantis?
Instead of PEQ, the NEQ12 added in v1.3 will work.
Ideally, the Wedge EQ should be disabled on the IEM output faders.

No, at least not on that channel. You would need to feed wedge output to a local output then back into a desk channel and back out thru a dedicated aux output that you never PFL! adding an extra DA and AD conversion step also.
It seems dangerous to have to do something so complicated that it encourages operational errors.
It could be in the form of a dPack option where NEQ (12-band PEQ) would be added to the monitor relationship as well.
There are many operators who need EQ.
