I work as an A1 (mixer) on a lot of smaller Broadcast and Streaming jobs for a number of clients. Some clients have small to medium sized Outside Broadcast trucks without the isolated Sound Booths required for me to mix on Speakers. Others are doing ‘build-up’ (fly-pack) control rooms in the venue. Therefore I end up mixing on headphones a lot. I have found that I get a better result (and more relaxed long-term operating experience) if I use one of the various Plug-ins that are available to simulate mixing on Loudspeakers for headphone users. A clear majority of these clients own and supply SQ consoles for this work - and I bring a LiveProfessor based plug-in system to hang off the USB port to run Waves PSE and similar, which can host such a plug-in. It would be great if there was a Stereo Insert point available in the PAFL Monitor path that I could insert this on and still use the internal headphone amp - rather that having route the PAFL Output to LiveProfessor, then return to the console and tieline patch to hardware outputs to run an external Headphone Amp.
