I am new to the SQ 6 and have just installed an S Link card to run my ME-1 because the Stage box is 96K and doesn’t support the 48k ME-1 is there any special “trick” to make it work on the new port I/e routing or is it a plug and play? I apologize if this is a dumb question but I’m a former Presonus user lol. Thanks in advance.
Plug and play.
You just have to use the correct ‘output patch’ configuration to map the desired SQ audio channels to the correct S-Link card. I don’t consider this to be ‘magic’ however…
I will be doing the same thing as you after Christmas…
No problem for asking questions. I wish more people would ask their questions first! I asked the exact same question regarding the multitude of stage boxes and the ME-1’s. My cost spreadsheet now has three different configurations, all will work (now I understand the technical requirements of each configuration). Which configuration we choose will depend upon the available finances…
I will post a bit more about the output patching shortly. We are in the middle of a Church service at the moment…

Just checked on our SQ7.
On the output patch screen, you will have local, SLink, ME and I/O port.
The ME is the port you want for your ME-1’s and the I/O port will be your ‘additional’ SLink card.
Of course, the nomenclature may change when you plug the new card into the slot.
Hope that makes sense?
Dave
Thank you so much for your response and help! Have a Blessed Day!
I found the problem, evidently when I “plugged “ in the card one of the terminals bent out of place ever so slightly making it not connect. I pulled it out and straightened the pin and it started working immediately..
Excellent news.
