IO patching for QU-5, a better path to advanced routing

I’ve had the QU5 for a few months now and in general the board is decent, but one missing functionality I find maddening… the lack of an industry standard routing matrix page.

Main issue I have with my QU5 is in regards to the inflexibility for routing of sources, in the current implementation the gui is dumbed down to the point of being much less efficient than a proper matrix style routing page and any routing is forced into being simple by severely limiting routing options available. I strongly dislike all of these limitations placed on a user within the routing or channel sends pages. Routing is heavily handicapped and the Achilles heel in my mind for this entire line of mixers.

A feature suggestion that would make all of us QU series owners feel like Allen and Heath actually cared for our more advanced workflows would be to simply add the IO patch page for the QU series.

I don’t know why it wasn’t already added for the new line of mixers. And if “complicating” the usability of the mixer was the deciding rational, then I suggest you unlock the IO patch and other features useful to experienced operators with an advanced user unlock for access to the full feature set these boards are capable of.

You are definitely not the first person to ask for this, and I for one agree with you. If you search this forum you will find another to which you can add a plus one. This is the fastest way to get A&H to bring a particular suggestion higher up the priority list. I am not adding my plus one to your post, because I have already added elsewhere, and we each have a limited number we can add.
Just realised it was your previous post to which I added my plus one.
By repeating yourself you actually risk diluting the prominence of your request. If someone votes for this instead of your original neither will be as prominent as a single post with 4 votes.
