iPad GLD App that doesn't lockup

I am seeing problems with the GLS app on my iPad,that when the iPad times out and the screen times out/locks, when I unlock the iPad, the GLD app is frozen.

Two suggestions,

Fix the app so that it doesn’t lock up the iPad?

Can you create an option so that the timeout screen lock is bypassed? (Look at the iHeart Audio App how it keeps the iPhone display on.)

You could set the iPad shut down to never, I do and have never had a problem.
However it shouldn’t be hard to build that into the app so you don’t have to change the settings.
