I have a Qu-sb mixer and two iPads (2nd and 4th gen). Everything works fine. Wanted to add a third iPad (gen 8) download app etc, select qsub in wifi settings. all looks good, select admin- connection error? any suggestions please
Is the firmware on the mixer the same version as the iPads?
It could be that mixer and 2 iPads are running older versions, whereas the new iPad has the latest version?
If so, check if older iPads can run the latest app before deciding if an all round update is the best solution.
Only two simultaneous instances of QU-Pad can connect. See page 81 of the reference guide.
Thanks. I’m not trying to run three iPads. If I go into demo mode on the new iPad there is no firmware showing v.O.00. ? Maybe I need to run a later firmware on iPad 8 and that is the issue but no help really as I like to have at least two iPads to hand for live work and the other two I have are much older(2nd and 4th gen). Don’t I have to actually connect to the router before any firmware is allocated to the new iPad. I can’t connect to try this, connection error.I get to the selection menu and then the admin menu but can’t get past that?
The demo mode firmware shows 0.00 because you’re not connected to a mixer - there’s no firmware to show you.
On the main screen before you select a unit you should see the app version underneath the QuPad Logo - that’s the important version. The 1.9x app is compatible with all 1.9x firmware versions.
As others have said, you can only have two instances of Qu-Pad connected to the same mixer - the third will fail to connect.
