Can I connect an iPad via Bluetooth to the cq12t without the use of any wi fi routers. This is a game changer question before I purchase. Many regards
Yes and you’ll be able to play music via BT.
No need of a router for that.
Brilliant many thanks , I didn’t want to spend on the 18. I am a solo act , one mic and iPad

@Tony
To try and avoid any potential misunderstanding with the two types of external device connection to the CQ -
The Bluetooth connection is for audio playback only.
The network connection (either the built-in WiFi or connection to the Ethernet port) is for remote control of the mixer only.
Thanks,
Keith.
Thanks Keith so to make it clear I need the 18T to use remote fader etc control from iPad.
Regards
Tony
Regardless of the number of I/O and FX engines, the CQ12T doesn’t forbid to have external control with your ipad.
You can hook it to a simple wifi router and get a solid wifi connexion too.
Ah so a cheap little wi fi router will work then
So Ethernet cable from 12T and scan from iPad ??
Regards
@Tony
You can control any of the CQ range remotely using the CQ-MixPad app as follows:
CQ-20B - Via built-in WiFi OR Router/Access Point connected to the Ethernet port OR Direct connection to the Ethernet port.
CQ-18T - Via built-in WiFi OR Router/Access Point connected to the Ethernet port OR Direct connection to the Ethernet port.
CQ-12T - Via Router/Access Point connected to the Ethernet port OR Direct connection to the Ethernet port.
So referring to your original post, you would need the CQ-18T if you didn’t want to use an external router or access point for wireless control.
Cheers!
Keith.
Understand it now. Many thanks Keith and windmmodelisme
Thank you very much
