I have a bunch of ipads we use for the desks and have the app already installed and we used them on SQ 3-4 years ago, but the desks then had firmware 1.2 and the ipads can’t go beyone version 1.2 of the app as they are too old.
Trying to avoid purchasing 3 new ipads!!
I found version 1.3 but that was the earliest available in the downloads
I can’t help you with a 1.2, but I would advise you not to go back to such an early version.
Not only have numerous new features been added since then, but many bugs have also been fixed.
When making your decision, keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be an iPad - SQ MixPad also runs on Windows or Android.
I understand not wanting to have to replace the iPads, but I’d get new tablets before I downgraded to such an old firmware version. You can actually get an iPad 9th gen for $200 right now on Amazon or if that is too much too spend, the Amazon tablets are all sub $100 right now too.
EDIT - it seems that perhaps the 9th Gen iPads are currently OOS, but they have hit this price pretty often over the last few months (I’ve bought two myself at different times), so I’m sure they will be back at this price even after Black Friday at some point.
You could try if the Mixing Station App runs on your iPads.
I’d also not downgrade to 1.2 by any means.
1.2 was a massive step forward when IT was released, but compared to 1.5 you would loose a lot.
Just check out the releaese notes
Ok thanks for the replies. I guess i’ll have to bite the bullet and buy some new ones. I do have mixingstation which still works on ipad 2s so at least i have a backup for now.
