I have a Qu-24 and since the Covid-19 quarantine my church has been streaming the worship and word to Facebook.
In the building we have effects running for the LR Mix.
However what Facebooks receives through our audio encoder is flat and lacks the Fx like reverb.
we already asnwered this question half a million times
you could easyly use the search or read the Quick start guide
and btw the FX return channels are input channels as well
@shekinah
send the livestream from a mix or matrix not the LR outputs
as a utooband & facebook sufferer when I listen to those things,
I would appreciate your leaving off the fx on the livestream
perhaps a little EQ if necessary or compress the orators if they have wide DR , but that is it.
@ Volounteer
A touch of reverb on signing vocals can be good.
You want it muted in between songs if the vocalist is going
to speak.
Never put FX on anyone who is speaking.
And to the original question…
Like Steffen said just think of an FX return channel like any input channel, the
aux/mix routing is just the same.
Do not send and FX back into itself, such as selecting and FX send and then
turn up the send level on that FX return channel.
To be safe I have the FX sends on the FX return channels all turned off in my default reset scene.
it would be less of a problem on singing
definitely should not be used on orators
but utoob and facebook audio is already horrible across the board
until folks get it sounding okay without fx then the fx will do nothing useful
