You probably already know the Tube Stage Preamp and/or you mean something else …
Ahhh! Yes I guess I was looking for the word “Saturation”
thx.
Ah, sorry.
So if you’re looking for an internal effect for the SQ called “Saturation,” I assume there isn’t one - at least, I don’t know of one.
If you mean some kind of tape saturation, the term also comes up in connection with the “Echo” add-on.
However, I don’t know if you could practically set a delay time of 0 there, which would in principle be technically feasible in such a simulation.
With an original device, like my Roland Chorus Echo, such a thing would be not possible, of course.
Hi there
After watching a few you tube videos I saw a few folks suggesting using saturation to add a bit of “grit” to the snare sound and when I tried it in my DAW I kinda liked it, so I am just trying to find a way to recreate that “grit” (for want of a better word!) in the SQ6.
If you have any thoughts on ways to do it (without buying outboard FX rack gear!) please do share!
Thanks again.
And with the Tube Stage’s different modes, you can’t achieve what you’re looking for?
The expert for “dirtier” drums is actually the ‘Mighty’:

Don’t be put off by the 2 videos - unfortunately, these tend to focus more on a specific musical direction.
… and of course, it can also be finely tuned in parallel mode.
