I’m integrating an Avantis into a complete theater AV system with Crestron control. As part of this, we’d console power to be part of the normal power on/off sequences. While I can simply apply and kill AC power, is there a way to issue a “power down” command remotely so that there’s a clean shutdown before I kill AC power?
As far as I’m aware no. We faced similar issues with a GLD install couple of years ago which should be integrated into crestron. As I’m the main engineer at that location we went the “out of support” route and modified the OS on the gld to allow this. But that’s nothing I would recommend nor something I can provide steps for.
In general the bigger A&H mixers (ilive, dlive , gld, avantis) require a proper shutdown as otherwise they will complain every time you turn them on.
On the smaller ones this is not an issue.
