Hi,
Haven’t Gx4816 but iaw with the manual, only the DX2 port can be switched to ME mode (Me port, 48 kHz).
Check this :
https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/40425087154705-GX4816-Getting-Started-Guide
And : https://www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2023/05/DX-GX-System-Guide-ISS_5.pdf
In addition, connect an Me system directly on a Dx168 isn’t possible. Dx168 is only 96 kHz, Me are 48 kHz.
Probably the best way is the Me Hub.

The top part of your diagram will work (assuming the switch is connected to the DX2/ME port of the GX4816). You can also daisy chain the ME devices (or switches being used for ME devices) together, so overall you could use two network switches to supply audio to the ME devices. Your two switches would simply be connected together.
However you cannot connect ME devices (individually or through a switch) to any DX devices. So in your diagram, the DX stage box could be connected to the GX4816 via the DX1 port, but it cannot have a switch connected to it.
Thanks guys, thought that was probably the case. Appreciate the quick responses ![]()
