L/R Matrix (Output 1-6)

I just want the option to have a matrix for breakout rooms and satellite speakers.

I also need this.

I have two sets of PA speakers, which I want connected to the CQ18 directly and with mirrored Main. As they are different, the EQ on output is most welcome.

A third set of speakers would be connected as booth monitor, which in most cases is also from my Main, not a submix.

I really need to be able to set the source to Main for each of the Out 1-6. Composing through the output routing with Post fader option is not good for me, because I’m playing with different number of musicians each time and need different channels open/closed. I need a quick way to just mirror the Main to other outputs (be it stereo in stereo link output or mono, which should sum Main LR to 1 mono channel).

To achieve this, you would simply need to set each of these outputs to ā€˜Post Comp’ and ā€˜Post Fader’, and set all input faders (don’t forget the FX returns) in this mix to 0 dB.
If you need stereo, you would need to link two outputs and adjust the input pans as needed.

This addition wasn’t visible when I first replied.

But in these cases, it’s exactly the same.
If you don’t need a musician’s channel and close or mute it in the Main LR, it will also be closed or muted in the other out mixes.

Thanks!

It’s not ideal, but could be a solution until there’s a proper simple setting ā€œSource = Main L/Rā€

Is the Processing, AMM & FX routing also identical with the Post Fader approach?

Processing yes - but AMM not (see yellow in the image).
FX should work as well, since sends and returns are ā€œhard-wiredā€ Post Faders (red).
It’s important that all Input-send-to-aux-faders - including those of the FX-returns-to aux - are set to 0 dB.

Although A&H has pointed out several times that no additional mixes are possible in the CQ, in your case, the same mix would simply be routed to different outputs - like in a matrix, which was the original purpose of this topic.

Thanks!

while this setup gets a bit complex, it will probably work OK in most scenarios.

A simple option to select the mode of the ā€œOutā€ TRS jacks as either AUX bus or Main L/R as source will be a much simpler and straight-forward approach for those of us seeking to clone the Main L/R to more outputs on the mixer.

I realy wish A&H will implement it in a future firmware update.

Many thanks for your input & insight @SQuser!

Thank you for your kind reply!

I agree with you, and for some user, it would be a solution that normally requires a matrix, which possibly (!!!) isn’t feasible.
If I had a CQ, I would wish it too.
