The release notes for SQ- firmware 1.6.0 (February 2025) mention a “Lower latency USB streaming.”
Nevertheless, in a later thread regarding latency on the new QU-5, Keith points to a four-year-old video comparing latency, among other values, USB and Waves on SQ-.
Since no significantly better measurement results were presented in that thread, it is quite possible that the current figures for the newer consoles do not actually differ significantly from those of the older ones.
